Every year between 1994-2009 the Festival has been the designated fine arts field trip for the entire 5th grade population in Fairfax County Public Schools – resulting in over 13,000 students coming to Wolf Trap during the Festival week to see and meet the featured Festival performers.
Make your own Field Trip!
Get more out of the Festival by making it your own fine arts Field Trip! You can have fun and learn at the same time. Use the Global Awareness Activities brochure with nine activities focused on fun, dynamic, and accessible ways to discover and learn about diverse art forms and cultures. Explore and interact with all the art activities and performances at the Festival.
What you'll need:
- Global Awareness brochure
- Festival Passport (pick up at the Passport Zone at the Festival)
- a pen or pencil
What to do:
- Do the Global Awareness Activities brochure. Take a notes on your responses.
- Attend the Festival, participate in activities, fill out your Festival Passport
- After the Festival, go over the Global Awareness Activities brochure again. Expand on your answers. Talk about what you liked and what you learned.
